From here you can explore the secrets of the kingdom of karst caves.
There are different types of karst caves in Guizhou, e.g. Zhijin Cave, which is a dry cave; Longgong Cave, which has flowing rivers; and Jiudongtian Cave, which has both the dry ground and water. These caves, as the representatives of the karst caves in Guizhou, are already world-famous. But Guizhou also has many unknown karst caves hidden in the mountain. What wonders can we find from these caves on earth?
In recent years, the cave expedition to caves represented by Shuanghe Cave in Zunyi is gaining popularity. Therefore, the caves hidden deep in mountains which are unknown to people before begin to surface.

Many a little makes a miracle. In South China, water has been transforming the land for hundreds of millions of years. Hundreds of millions of tons of water keeps eroding the soil, thus the ground is eroded and mountains are reshaped. As a result, new scenery comes into being constantly. They are known as the karst in South China.

The corrosion of flowing water has also opened the gate of the underground world while shaping the mountains and rivers on the ground. The plentiful precipitation in South China finds its way into underground from various chinks or holes, and then produces enormous caves. They are the karst caves we all know.

The magnificent caves are a world of unique scenery. Guizhou is an area featuring extensive development of the karst landform. Its underground karst forms like the underground river/lake, stalactite, stalagnate, stalagmite and stone curtain create a complete karst cave system having a variety of grotesque caves. Guizhou’s karst caves account for 2/3 of 26 karst caves with a length of over 10 kilometers in China at present. The karst caves here are characteristic of great depth and length and well developed stalactites, so they have multiple values in tourism, expedition, archaeological studies and scientific research. In the world, only the Papua New Guinea’s cave resources can stand comparison with that in Guizhou. So Guizhou is a real kingdom of karst caves which fires people’s imagination.
