The World natural heritage is the common wealth of all mankind. It not only carries the spiritual and cultural value of human beings, but also concerns the ecological security of the earth. Guizhou has been exploring ways to protect and develop world heritage sites and spreading the beauty of science, nature and humanity of world heritage sites.

荔波茂兰至今保存着世界上面积最大的喀斯特原始森林。2007年6月在联合国第31届世界遗产大会上被评为世界自然遗产，成为中国第六个，贵州第一个世界自然遗产地。
Maolan in Libo has preserved the world's largest area of primary karst forest. It was named a World Natural Heritage Site at the 31st Session of the United Nations World Heritage Assembly in June, 2007, becoming the sixth World Natural Heritage Site in China and the first one in Guizhou.

荔波茂兰被称为地球腰带上的一颗绿宝石，因为它是地球同一纬度上的唯一的绿洲。曾被《孤独星球》评为最触动心灵的风景之一。
Maolan is known as “the emerald on the earth’s belt”, because it is the only oasis at the same latitude on the earth. Maolan has been named one of the most touching landscapes by Lonely Planet.

茂兰保护区具备亚热带喀斯特森林生态系统及其珍稀野生动植物资源，森林覆盖率达91%，是地球同纬度地区残存下来的一片面积最大、相对集中、原生性强、相对稳定的喀斯特森林生态系统。
Maolan Natural Reserve has the subtropical karst forest ecosystem and rare wildlife resources, with the forest coverage rate here which is about 88.61%. Here is a karst forest ecosystem with the largest area, relative concentricity, strong nature and stability in the same latitude area of the earth.
