Guizhou Echo | 跨越天堑——贵州桥梁拔地而起
宋代诗人赵希迈的《到贵州》中写道：“涉历长亭复短亭，兼旬方抵贵州城。
”Zhao Ximai, a poet in Song Dynasty, wrote in Arrival in Guizhou, “Only after passing one and then another road-side pavilion in a journey of twenty days, did I finally make it to Guizhou!”
自古以来，贵州一直是连接中国西南地区的要塞。
From ancient times, Guizhou was the conundrum of connecting China’s southwest region.
贵州一直致力于改善其交通现状——桥梁建设。
Guizhou has been determined to do one thing to improve its traffic conditions—bridge building.
现如今，作为中国唯一一个没有平原的省份，已有20多万座桥梁在贵州的喀斯特高原上拔地而起，打破了数十项世界纪录。
Nowadays, as the sole province in China that has no plains, Guizhou has built over 20,000 bridges in the karst plateau and has thus broken dozens of world records.
其中，鸭池河大桥、坝陵河大桥、北盘江大桥和平塘大桥便是贵州桥梁界的代表。
Among them, Yachi River Bridge, Baling River Bridge, Beipan River Bridge and Pingtang Bridge are the representatives of Guizhou bridges.
鸭池河特大桥
Yachi River Bridge
鸭池河大桥是贵黔高速公路的一部分，其横跨乌江支流鸭池河，连接着贵阳和黔西。
The Yachi River Bridge forms part of the Guiyang-Qianxi Expressway. It straddles the Yachi River, a tributary of Wujiang River, connecting Guiyang and Qianxi.
这座桥长1445米，高434米。大桥的主塔为H型缆索塔，桥面距水面434米。
The bridge is 1,450 meters long and 434 meters high. The main tower of the bridge is an H-shaped cable tower, and the deck is 434 meters above the water surface.
这座桥是世界第五大桥和世界上跨度最大的斜拉桥，同时也是世界上最顶级的山区斜拉桥。
The bridge ranks the fifth highest in the world and is a cable-stayed steel truss bridge having the largest span in the world, as well as being the world’s top cable-stayed bridge in mountainous areas.
坝陵河大桥
Baling River Bridge
坝陵河大桥位于贵州省安顺市，是横跨坝陵河大峡谷的第一座特大型桥梁。
The Baling River Bridge, located in Anshun City,Guizhou Province, is the first super-large bridge spanning the Baling River Grand Canyon.
该桥为单跨钢桁架悬索桥，主跨1088米。它全长2237米，甲板与河面之间的距离达到370米。
This bridge is a single-span steel suspension bridge stiffened by a truss, with a main span of 1,088 meters. It has a total length of 2,237 meters, and the distance between the deck and the river surface reaches 370meters.
建成后，它是中国第一长、世界第六长的桥梁，也是贵州有史以来结构最复杂的桥梁。
When completed, it was China’s first and the world’s sixth longest bridge of its kind, as well as the most sophisticated bridge ever built in Guizhou.
北盘江大桥
Beipan River Bridge
北盘江大桥位于中国云南省与贵州省交界处的泥猪河上，大桥为杭瑞高速公路的组成部分。
Beipan River Bridge is located above the Nizhu River at the border of Guizhou and Yunnan province. It is a part of the Hangrui Expressway.
北盘江大桥全长1341.4米，桥面至江面垂直距离为565.4米，全桥共设112对斜拉索。
Beipan River Bridge is 1341.4 meters long, and the vertical distance from the bridge to the river is 565.4 meters. 112 piars of stay cables are set on the bridge.
2022年11月，北盘江大桥入选“2022中国新时代100大建筑”的最终名单。
In November 2022, Beipan River Bridge was included in the final list of "2022 China's Top 100 Buildings of the New Era".
平塘特大桥
Pingtang Bridge
平塘大桥是平塘至罗甸高速公路跨越槽渡河大峡谷的一座特大桥梁。
Pingtang Bridge is an extra large bridge which crosses through the Caodu River Grand Canyon from Pingtang to Luodian Expressway.
2022年11月，贵州平塘大桥荣获“杰出基础设施奖”。
In November 2022, Pingtang Bridge in Guizhou won the "Outstanding Infrastructure Award".
平塘特大桥配套的“天空之桥”观光服务区是贵州桥旅融合发展的代表。
The "Sky Bridge" sightseeing service area, which is attached to Pingtang Bridge, is a representative of the integrated development of bridge tourism in Guizhou.
改革开放四十余年来，一代又一代的工人锻造出“桥梁精神”，建立了专门的“博物馆”来展示各种各样巧夺天工的桥梁。
For over 40 years of the reform and opening up, many generations of workers have forged the Bridge Spirit and constructed a “museum” that exhibits numerous, types of sophisticated and difficult bridges.
