在苗族设计师古阿新正筹备一场村T秀的时候，职业摄影师爱丽丝被写进了他的邀请函。
When Miao designer A Xin was preparing for a village fashion show; Alice, a professional photographer, got invited.
爱丽丝，喜欢中国传统刺绣，她好奇，古老的刺绣和现代的时尚设计能够碰撞出怎样的火花。
Alice, who loves traditional Chinese embroidery, is curious to see how ancient embroidery and modern fashion design can collide to create a spark.
四印苗绣
The Four Seals Miao embroidery
古阿新带爱丽丝来到了苗族服饰省级传承人王荣华的工作室， 正好遇到著名服装设计师赵卉洲老师。
A Xin brought Alice to the studio of Provincial inheritor of Miao costumes Wang Ronghua, where they happened to meet famous costume designer Zhao Huizhou.
见爱丽丝对四印苗绣的纹样很感兴趣， 两位老师介绍起不同纹样的寓意及其背后的历史。
When the two teachers saw that Alice was very interested in the patterns of the Four Seals Miao embroidery, they introduced the meaning of the different patterns and the history behind them.
接着，古阿新和爱丽丝来到苗族刺绣国家级传承人潘玉珍在凯里的店铺。
Next, A Xin and Alice went to the shop of National Miao embroidery inheritor Pan Yuzhen in Kaili.
随着潘老师唱起苗族古歌，她虽然听不懂却被深深触动。
When Pan sang an ancient Miao song, she was deeply moved even though she couldn't understand the words.

绣满破线绣的衣服为什么如此昂贵？
Why are clothes covered in Poxian embroidery so expensive?
抱着这样的疑问，爱丽丝跟着古阿新去台江拜访了苗族刺绣州级传承人石传英。
Filled with questions, Alice followed A Xin to Taijiang to visit Shi Chuanying, a Miao embroidery Autonomus Prefecture level Inheritor.
石老师展示的破线技术令大家叹为观止。
Everyone was amazed by the skills demonstrated by Shi.
在亲自尝试破线绣之后，爱丽丝才体会到这项技艺的高难度。
Alice only realised the difficulty of this technique after trying it herself.
锡绣
Tin embroidery
古阿新带爱丽丝到剑河领略苗族的“银河”——锡绣。
A Xin took Alice along to the Jianhe to experience the Miao people's ‘galaxy’– tin embroidery.
在苗族刺绣国家级传承人龙女三九的演示下，小小的锡片变成了衣服上闪烁的银河。
As demonstrated by Long Nu San Jiu, a National Miao embroidery inheritor, tiny tin pieces were transformed into a shimmering galaxy on the clothes.
爱丽丝第一次知道金属也可以用来做衣服，独特又时尚的锡绣成为她此行最喜欢的刺绣。
Alice learned for the first time that metal can also be used to make clothes. The unique and fashionable tin embroidery became her favourite embroidery from this trip.

“Alice, let me show you what Miao embroidery from Guizhou looks like in my creations”
在古阿新举办的村T秀上，爱丽丝通过镜头记录苗绣与时装完美的融合。
During the village fashion show held in A Xin, Alice used her camera to record the perfect fusion of Miao embroidery and fashion.
这次经历让古阿新相信，刺绣纹样能够跨越语言和文化的壁垒，连通世界人民的情感。
This experience convinced A Xin that embroidery patterns can transcend the barriers of language and culture and connect the emotions of people around the world.
