布依族人尊崇大自然，

他们将蜡刀作笔，蜂蜡作墨，

常把太阳、月亮、星星、花鸟虫草等元素画在布幔上，

再放入染缸中进行染色。

The Bouyei people have a great esteem for nature,

Wax knives and beeswax are considered as pen and ink for them,

They often paint many natural elements on the fabrics, like the sun, the moon, stars, flowers, birds, fishes and insects.

Then put clothes into the dye vats for dyeing.

染料是用板蓝根的叶子和一些植物配置而成。

The dyes are confected by the leaves of radix isatidis and some other plants.

蜡染用它古朴又独特的方式，

记录了布依族世世代代的文化和信仰，

使布依族文化在这些生动的图案和线条中传承了下来。

Batik records the culture and beliefs of the Bouyei people from generation to generation simply and uniquely,

the Bouyei culture has been passed down by these vivid patterns and lines.

四朵姐妹花此次跟随国家级非物质文化遗产项目布依族服饰国家级代表性传承人王菁老师体验了蜡染工艺。
